How many Canadians are sick and tired of Quebec nationalism?

Why do we allow this to go on? The French lost all claim to this land in 1759 in the Seven Years War (French Indian War)
One of the biggest mistakes that England did was allow them to remain here, keep their language etc.

This has developed into serious problems like the FLQ terrorists group and the 1996 separation referendum which Quebec wanted to separate but wanted to keep Canadian currency, health care, pensions, passports, etc.

We allow a government from Quebec to takes up seats in the House of Commons that wants to separate a piece of land that doesn't even belong to them...

Why didn't England get rid of them or force them to conform when they had the chance?
